Hello my lovelies!

Quick post tonight as I am exhausted but I just wanted to wish you a happy spooky Halloween! I've basically celebrated by eating my own weight in jelly sweets and wearing spider web tights, let me know if any of you dressed up properly and went out (I miss uni haha). I will leave you with this fab pumpkin Jon carved for my grandparents yesterday, they live in an area with lots of young children so a Pumpkin Mickey seemed appropriate!

I'm hoping to post more outfits and an Aussieversary post this week!

Much love

Hello my lovelies!

Two blogposts in three days, look at me! I've really fallen out of the habit of taking outfit photos, but together with my mini tripod and a whole lot of books balanced on the bed, I managed to take some today. I'm still unwell, this horrid virus is showing no signs of giving up any time soon, but drying my hair and putting on a bit of make-up made me feel a bit better!

I love this jumper, I found it on eBay for a couple of pounds and although it's not a brand I've heard of it's really snuggly and soft. Plus it has a panda on the front - you may remember my panda obsession from such classics as the Panda Hat of last winter - which means I was able to team it with my new panda earmuffs from Accessorize!

I'm also wearing Dorothy Perkins jeans, featured a while ago on the blog, and big fluffy slippers that you thankfully cannot see in the pictures. I do love the colour of these jeans, I just wish the sizing wasn't quite so dodgy. I bought a 14 but they're so stretchy they keep falling down, so I guess I'm a DP size 12 - just about the only shop where I can squeeze into a 12!

I tried to photograph the MAC Studio Sculpt foundation with the Soap & Glory Cheekmate stain here, but the lighting was not cooperating and it came out rather blurry! I think the foundation could be a little heavy if you were to use a lot, I tend to use a tiny bit and sheer it out over my skin so it doesn't look too mask-like. It doesn't cover blemishes very well this way but I guess that's my own fault for not applying loads. It will face a real test when I go back to work as it will have to last long days with no access to powder or touch-up sessions, so I will let you know how it goes!

I promise I will really make an effort with outfit posts from now on, I've really missed blogging properly!

xoxo
Hello my lovelies!

Once again I am terribly sorry for my continued blogging absence. My laptop is now so temperamental that it takes several hours to switch on properly, and when I've been at work all day I just lack the patience to try and take photos and upload them to a laptop that refuses to work. It is literally falling apart - the screen is coming off! I need a new one but just can't afford it and I have all my STUFF on here...sigh... On a much much brighter note though, Stephie and I have won tickets to the Aussie party next Saturday! I don't know what to WEAR! But I am so so excited, I have to locate my camera charger now so I can take heaps of pics!

Anyway, my lack of computer equipment hasn't stopped me from spending money on beauty bits left right and centre. Admittedly some are off ebay...I haven't been able to switch off my student-budgeting attitude...but it is nice being able to buy things full price now too!

The first thing I did when I received my last lot of wages was order the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish  cleanser. I, like every other blog reader, have heard SO much about this cleanser, it was a given that it would one day end up in my stash. I like it so far, the muslin cloth is fab, but it is rubbish at removing my mascara. I prefer the No7 one for this particular purpose! I also haven't noticed any massive difference in my skin, it's still erupting in spots every couple of days, although some other products of mine have helped calm these down. I will get to these later as they are the more recent buys... This cost £13.75 I believe, arrived really quickly and even came with a whole bunch of samples so I'd definitely recommend ordering from Liz Earle online again!

Next up, the Good Things Miracle Mattifier Lotion is another blogger's favourite and it definitely does the trick. It smells yummy, melts into the skin in seconds and I like that it comes in a tube so it's hygienic and you can control the amount that comes out.
These last two reasons are also why I picked up the MAC Studio Sculpt foundation off ebay as it was heaps cheaper than in the shops and I really just wanted to try it out! I know my foundation collection is ridiculous but I really needed a light foundation as my skin is just getting paler and paler as the temperature drops. Studio Sculpt in NW15 is a teeny bit too light when compared with my neck, but at least I no longer have orange tidemarks! The coverage is fab but I've not tested it out long enough yet to write a proper review, so keep your eyes peeled. The moisturiser is £7.99 in Boots and Superdrug and I believe Studio Sculpt retails for £23.

Finally, these two pretty pink purchases! The perfume is Vera Wang Lovestruck which I think smells gorgeous but doesn't seem to last all that long on me, which is why I've used so much of it already. I've only had it since mid-September! The pink tube of loveliness beneath it is the Cheekmate lip and cheek stain from Soap & Glory's new make up range. Long time readers will know how partial I am to a cheek stain (or six) and this one is no exception. It's unbelievably pigmented and when buffed in with my Ecotools blusher brush leaves a gorgeous healthy glow. I think it would suit most skin tones depending on how much you use! You really don't need a lot to create lovely pink cheeks with this one so I think the price tag of £8 is justified, it should last for yonks. You can also see the corner of my Tangle Teezer in this photo, which is a lifesaver and has made brushing my hair less of a chore for certain!

It has taken me so long to write this post as I'm ill with some kind of flu-resembling virus, but I hope you enjoyed it and I will try to take more "face of the day" photos so you get an idea of these products actually look like! I'm also dying to take more outfit photos as I've bought lots of pretty dresses, now I just have to remember to get Jon to take photos before I leave for work!

Thank you for reading, as always!

Much love

xoxo
I do like writing posts like this because if nothing else it lets me see how my mind and style has changed over time concerning beauty! I found this particular list on Sophie's blog:

♡ Shampoo: Aussie Mega Shampoo - an old favourite that I still adore.

♡ Shower Gel: A Dove soap bar...
♡ Body Moisturiser : Palmer's Cocoa Butter/ Superdrug Coconut Oil
♡ Deodorant: Palmolive/Dove

♡ Face Wash: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish.

♡ Exfoliator: Bulldog Face Scrub - it's actually a man's range (and belongs to Jon), but I love it because it's a fab scrub and has all natural ingredients!

♡ Primer: None at the moment but I'm trialling the Good Things Mattifying Moisturiser.

♡ Foundation Brush: - fingers.

♡ Foundation: Ilamasqua Skin Base in 07

♡ Concealer: MAC Select Cover-Up in NW20.

Hello my lovelies!

You'd be forgiven for being a little confused when this eventually pops up on your dashboard, I know my posting has been...sporadic to say the least over the last few months! I'm trying to get Jon to take photos of me when we leave the house for work now so I at least have photos to post on here. I also thought I'd include a mini review in today's post as it's a product I really think worth talking about!

The product in question is the new mascara by Benefit, named They're Real because it's meant to give you false-looking lashes...now I'm going to be honest. It does NOT give me mock-falsies. But it is a bloody good mascara nonetheless and may even have ousted the Chanel Inimitable Intense as my favourite!

In these photos I've admittedly boosted it a little bit by adding Vaseline to condition my lashes before applying mascara (a trick I learned from Klee's blog because her lashes always look amazing) but I have not curled them (I ...forgot...again) and they stayed looking like this ALL day. For this reason alone I would recommend this mascara as all others droop after a few hours' wear. Yes, the price is a wee bit hefty at £18.50, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion!

I've also included my first outfit post in MONTHS. My camera settings badly need tweaking because they're rubbish at the moment, I accidentally set it to auto while at Disney and consequently all my photos are somewhat out of focus! Here I'm wearing a pretty comfy, boring outfit for work, with tunic and leggings from Dorothy Perkins, teamed with my new suede boots (ebay!) and a lovely cosy cardigan from H&M.

I can't believe how cold it's got now! Right after this photo was taken I ran indoors and got my mac to keep me warm, but I was still cold! Luckily I have a gorgeous winter coat I can't wait to show you as I've coveted it since last year and finally, FINALLY found it on ebay! Is anyone else as obsessed with ebay as I am? Or am I abnormal? Haha!

xoxo
