Hello my lovelies!
Apologies for the terrible faces I'm pulling in these photos, I don't know why I can't look happier! I think my normal facial expression just comes across as grumpy...I was actually very pleased to be going out for dinner with my family! However when taking these photos my dad was calling to us to hurry up so maybe I look so grumpy because I was being rushed?! The dress is a New Look beauty, with netting underneath to give it that 50s shape I adore. The cardie is ancient and from Mango, I might have to retire it soon as it's falling apart!
Make-up:
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation
Topshop cream blusher in Neon Rose
MAC Studio Fix concealer (under eyes)
Barry M Brass Dazzle Dust
Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara
MAC lipstick in "Impassioned" (blotted a little so it wouldn't end up all over my face during the meal!)
I know it looks like I've strayed from my usual High Street budget make-up but I promise most of these were gifts! The only ones I bought myself were the foundation and the Dazzle Dust, both of which I would highly recommend if you're interested.
I'm heading back to Canterbury tomorrow where more revision awaits me (oh the joy) and I'm also going to my cousin's wedding on Thursday, exciting! I have no idea what to do with my hair though, if anyone has any fun styles or ideas please let me know! I also want to say thank you so much to all those who have commented recently, I love reading your comments even if I don't always have time to respond to each individually, but I did want to let you all know how much they're appreciated! Thank you!
xoxo
Hello my lovelies! Hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather at the moment, although I'm home in Luxembourg I hear it's just as gorgeously warm back in the UK! I spent a few hours revising in our garden desperately trying to tan my pale legs for my cousin's wedding next week, but it got too hot! Too hot! In April!
Anyway, I got some lovely make-up goodies for my birthday that I'm quite excited about, I love them all already! I bought the Charles Worthington spray for myself with my Advantage Card points, I shall review it at a later date but the smell is divine, just like being in a salon! The lovely Stephie (best friend and future sister-in-law) and her boyfriend got me my very first MAC concealer (I don't know how I've lived without it) and my beloved Chanel Inimitable Intense, as you can see on the far left and right respectively. The concealer is amazing, it covers my dark circles so well, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone with under-eye bags like mine! Stephie also pointed out that it costs the same as the one she usually gets from Boots No7, so from now on she's going to buy MAC as well. I can't believe that mere months ago I owned nothing from MAC and now I have four products, amaze! As for Chanel...well I raved about it in one of my very first reviews on here, and nearly a year on nothing has changed, it's still my number one mascara!
I also got my first cream blusher from my friend Geo, as whenever we go into Topshop I end up swatching all the blushers but could never justify buying one when I still have heaps to use up first. Geo picked the blogger favourite Neon Rose and I can honestly say that it is beautiful! The staying power isn't the same as my cheek tints, obviously, but I may try layering the two to see what kind of effect it has! Thumbs up for the gorgeous packaging as well!
Finally, my gift from my sister Nats, the gorgeous "Impassioned"...it is so beautiful, the most gorgeous colour and it's perfect for spring! It's now my go-to colour for bright bold lips. I've coveted it ever since seeing it on the lovely Muhsine at Bubblegarm and I'm so happy Naty bought it for me!
I took some snaps of me wearing all the items above, no foundation because it is simply too hot, and I let my hair dry naturally again because I can't face the hairdryer at the moment...
I tried to get some lip swatches of "Impassioned" but found it difficult to photograph and haven't quite captured the colour. If you're interested I do urge you to look at Muhsine's post, her photographs are stunning and show the colour more accurately!
Phew, sorry for the ramble, thank you for reading as always and I wish you all a gloriously happy Easter in the sunshine!
xoxo
Hello my lovelies! Apologies for the quality of these photos, I stole them off my friend's Facebook. We had a gorgeous day out in London pretending to be tourists, and I even got to go round Parliament which was beautiful! I also ended up breaking my spending ban in Primark, there was a skirt too gorgeous to pass up on, and I got the amazing River Island moustache T-shirt from Geo for my birthday, which I promptly changed into (thank you, National Gallery, for use of your lavatory).
All in all, it was a fab day with my best girls! Normal outfit posts shall resume soon, I'm off home for a week tomorrow and can start taking them again there :)

[one of my awesome cards! I love Edward Monkton!]
Hello my lovelies! It was my birthday on Friday so I've been a bit absent from the blogging world, I do however have lots of exciting stuff to write about once I've got decent photos!
I share my birthday with my grandad and we celebrate together every single year, so of course this year was no exception. We went to Deal and wandered along the pier, then had a delicious meal in Broadstairs! It just reaffirmed my love for Kent really, it's so pretty and there's so much of it I have yet to discover! Jon and I are planning lots of days out for when he gets his driving licence, castle hunting (for the wedding) is very high up on the list!
I bought this dress from Matalan because I adored it and also it was 20% off, I think the offer may still be running so go have a look! They have some gorgeous stock at the moment. I particularly love that this dress comes with a net underskirt, even though it does stick to my tights at times! The cherry print is lovely as well.
I saw this biscuit tin in the window of a shop and had to photograph it because it was so cute!
Jon and I waiting for our train. I was super happy with my make-up because I got MAC Studio Finish concealer and my adored Chanel mascara from Stephie, and MAC lippie in Impassioned from Nats! I shall no doubt review these properly at some point down the line!
Sadly I didn't get any proper outfit posts but I shall take some next week! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Hello my lovelies!
So sorry I've been neglecting the blog recently, I haven't really been dressing up! Term ended on Monday so I've handed in my last essays as an undergraduate (fingers crossed I get accepted onto the Masters programme I've applied for!) and I've just started revising for my exams in May. However, Jon and I have been discussing our wedding as I'm staying at his (he is still adamant he wants a castle, I shan't disagree!) and I stumbled across Rock My Wedding, which is the BEST wedding blog ever! I've now spent the whole day avoiding my 19th century reading and planning my wedding in my head. I pretty much know what kind of dress I want, what the bridesmaids ought to wear, what cake to have and so on, so I thought I'd share some of my thoughts with you, because let's face it, who doesn't like planning a massive party with gorgeous dresses?!

I love these dress styles, I've worn an evening gown with a portrait collar before for a photoshoot and I was overcome by how flattering it was, so I know I want that and a fitted bodice! I'm not a massive fan of the huge trailing trains, I'd like something a bit simpler and more understated, just something that will flow nicely and flatter my figure.

I'd never really thought about a traditional veil before but after seeing these I've decided I might have one as part of a fascinator! I particularly like the top right picture, her hair looks gorgeous as well! I was thinking I might have loose curls swept over to one side, so it's a little more interesting than a simple 'down' do, and will suit me better than having an up-do!

I love this idea for the table plan! How cute are the suitcase and the little pegs? Despite the whole castle thing, I'd quite like a vintage feel to our wedding (I know everyone's going for vintage right now, but it's so nice!) and I just want a nice relaxed atmosphere as well.
Anyway I have babbled enough for now, I should probably get back to my books but I just wanted to get my wedding ramblings out my system! It's a long way off still, we haven't chosen a date yet but I like planning it so everything should be simple enough to put in place once we do set a date! Have you given any thought to your wedding yet? I never did, not until I met Jon, so I don't really know what I'm doing! I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have :)

Hello my lovelies! I'm so sorry for my absence this past week, I fail as a blogger! Once these last essays are in, though, I shall have more time to devote to blogging. I have a few products I want to talk about that, and I haven't had the chance to sit down and write about them properly yet. Irritating coursework!
Anyway, today was lovely again and I went for lunch with my daddy and my two youngest siblings (who are both much taller than me! I feel like such a midget around them!) and it was nice to have some time off essay-work! The summery ebay skirt came out again, and this time I teamed it with a Dorothy Perkins t-shirt (also off ebay, and, true to form, with a bow!)
I'm really loving this Barry M nail varnish in Coral (296) which I bought last week in the 2 for £5 offer, alongside Pink Flamingo which is a favourite of my friend Geo's and I've coveted it ever since I first saw her wearing it! They're both such gorgeous summery colours and I think they'll look even better with a bit of a tan. Next I want some pastel colours so I can do polka dot nails, it's only a matter of time!
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine!

Hello my lovelies!
I look so glum in this photo, I can assure you that is not the case at all! It's turned out to be a lovely sunny day and I'm about to pop off to Essex to see my lovely Jon. Before that, though, I had to go to town to post some ebay items and I thought I'd share my outfit. Once again the top is from ebay, originally Dotty P and I love it, it has a bow, what can I say?
Here it is with my Prada denim jacket (I feel so special saying that, I'm sorry!) and some cheapie sunglasses from H&M. I don't care if it keeps clouding over, sunglasses just make me think of summer and that's always a good thing!
I decided to line my eyes again today for a slightly more retro look, the flicks turned out okay for once! I think it works nicely with the lip tint (I am OBSESSED with lip tints okay). I also managed to buy Chanel Mat Lumiere in the right colour off ebay yesterday, I'm so excited! However, I've decided that as of tomorrow I am not buying anything unnecessary until the 1st of May. This will be so difficult but I hope I can pull it off! Wish me luck!
Hope you have a lovely weekend my darlings!
xoxo
