Now this may seem like a pretty paltry haul when compared to others, but for me buying more than three items at any one time constitutes a spending spree and therefore a haul!
Following a very disappointing ASOS order in which 4 out of 5 items were promptly returned, I found myself skulking around Westfield again one evening after work, as the supposed June heatwave loomed before us. I was naturally gripped by an instant "I have no clothes" panic and ended up in Primark for a browse - always a dangerous situation for the old bank balance!
After perusing many bridal hair inspiration boards on Pinterest I've decided I'd quite like a flower crown incorporated into my look, so thought I'd pick a couple of cheap ones up to try out just in case they made me look like a children's TV character. For the price I really quite like the Primark ones, although I did have to dig around for some unbroken ones!
I've spent the last month rearranging our bedroom and tidying up and have somehow managed to lose all my summer clothes - hence my little splurge! I was looking for loose, comfortable materials and outfits I could mix and match for work - luckily Primark delivered! First I picked up this lovely black maxi dress - I liked the cut out detail at the neckline, which makes it look that bit smarter. Next I found the most beautiful floral print maxi skirt, I just couldn't resist! I am such a convert to the maxi length - so easy to style! I also picked up a couple of plain black tops for about £3 each, then found this gorgeous cream lace kimono. I love having a little light coverup for days when the office aircon gets a bit too much and I think it helps make more revealing tops a little more work-appropriate. I'm not sold on the fringing just yet as I keep getting it caught on things, but it's still lovely and floaty!
I decided to keep just one item from that fateful ASOS order - these ridiculously comfy New Look wedge sandals. I struggle to keep sandals on my feet normally but definitely stand no chance of losing these ones! I like the tiny wedge heel as well, being a smidgen under 5'4" I could use all the extra height I can get!
No doubt these will pop up in future outfit posts - I like how they're all fairly versatile pieces and I can mix and match outfits quite nicely! What more can a gal want?
