Hello my lovelies,
These are one of the most hyped products in terms of high street make up in recent months...so of course I bought a couple! I had the hardest time tracking down colours I liked at first, but eventually settled on Candy Apple as my first purchase.
I really like these, they're so simple to put on, you don't need a mirror and they are wonderfully pigmented considering they are basically just glossy lipbalms. In terms of longevity they obviously aren't as good as real lipsticks but it's no difficult task to keep reapplying!
Candy Apple is a classic red in the tube, but is somewhat orange-red once applied. I also bought the shade Sweet Tart as I wanted a nice soft pink for days when red just isn't appropriate, and this does the job nicely. It reminds me a little of Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine in Chance, with is always a plus!
I tend to measure the pigmentation by how well lipsticks cover up the freckle on my bottom lip. As you can see, it is still visible under the lip butters, but if you're after a light wash of colour then I would recommend these.
I like the packaging as well as they reflect the shade of each lip butter and stand out nicely in the depths of a cluttered handbag, making them easy to find. I think they're maybe a bit expensive at £7.99, I would have placed them at a fiver or under, but it's worth keeping an eye out for promotions!
Do you own any of these lip butters?
Would you like to?
