Hello my lovelies!
Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday so far - I've spent the day in London wandering around the Science museum (my first visit!) and the Natural History museum ( a favourite - but there were SO many people!). This is what I wore (all wrapped up in my mac of course - is anyone else outraged at how cold it is?!)
The dress is Topshop via eBay as I still cannot bring myself to pay Topshop prices. I'll happily spend all my wages in Dorothy Perkins but Topshop is just that bit too pricy for my liking! I love the colour and collar though but it's a bit thin material-wise. I need to stock up on nice slips to put under my dresses - any recommendations?
I decided to go for a glowy coral look to match my outfit, using Benefit Bella Bamba on my cheeks and Cha Cha tint on my lips. I also tried polka dot nails for the first time, with Essie Mint Candy Apple and Cute As A Button. I like it but I might try the inverted colour combination tomorrow as I'm not sure about the mint green with my pale skin. I need a tan, dammit! To this end I've picked up my old favourite Garnier Summerbody lotion as it is a gorgeous smelling gradual tanner, which doesn't make me look too orange. I'm the palest I've been in years, which normally doesn't bother me but I'm really in need of some sunshine at the moment!
In other news I had a fab chat with the lovely Debbie who works on the Estée Lauder counter in Selfridges. She tested out the Invisible Fluid foundation on me and insisted I take a sample home before buying when I expressed concern at the low coverage. So refreshing to have a sales assistant who isn't desperate to flog you something no matter how you feel about it! I really want a lighter weight foundation than Double Wear but still feel quite insecure without my full coverage make-up. Anyone got any recommendations for long lasting light foundations? They would be much appreciated!
Also spotted this guy being "tattooed" for MAC's new collection, how fun! And this gorgeous vintage Bourjois compact in the museum, their style hasn't changed a bit!
How are you spending your Bank Holiday weekend?
