Happy Friday all! This is my favourite time of year - not only is the weather improving and the blossoms out in force, but it's also the run-up to my birthday!

So I turn 27 next week, and I still can't quite get my head around the fact I'm not 22 anymore... if someone ever finds out why time seems to speed up the older you get, please explain it to me! It's increasingly difficult to accept that I'm now officially in my late twenties, when my early twenties feel like they were about five minutes ago! Am I a grown up now?!

In the spirit of things, and to distract myself from thoughts of things like mortality and ageing, I've put together my dream birthday gift list (yes, another wishlist... I am clearly wanting many things!).

Topshop Joni jeans in Dusk (£36) - I had the black Joni jeans for over a year and wore them so often. It's time to get a new pair and these look perfect for my go-to casual weekend style! I just don't own any proper denim-coloured jeans these days, I think my wardrobe is crying out for them as a fun alternative to all the black!

Rose gold ghds - I keep dreaming of these...sadly I think they are limited edition so not certain I'll ever get my mitts on them, but they're so pretty!

MAC eyeshadows - I currently own 3 MAC shadows, so would like to start my own palette! To begin with I've selected Woodwinked,Satin Taupe, Naked Lunch, and All That Glitters. Are there any other must-have shades? Send me your recommendations!

MAC lipliner in Soar - my current daytime lipsticks are Twig and Brave by MAC and I find lipliner always helps to prolong the wear time. Soar looks like the perfect shade!

Gorillapod tripod - I have an ancient tripod I picked up on eBay, which has a tendency to lean to the left and therefore makes it tricky to take photographs properly! A Gorillapod would be perfect to balance on my windowsill, use for our honeymoon selfies, etc etc...

Rose gold arrow necklace - okay, so the one pictured is by Tiffany, but a girl can dream right? I have a little arrow bangle so would love a matching necklace - has anyone seen any on the high street? Let me know!

Canon EOS 700D DSLR - this is most definitely at the pinnacle of my wishlist and not a must have in the slightest. There is nothing wrong with my existing camera of course, but the magpie in me is constantly drawn to new shiny things, and the 700d would be the perfect upgrade for my amateur photography skills. I'm also a bit obsessed with the flip-out screen! If I can save enough and have any money at all left over after the wedding, I may be seeking it out in duty free... Otherwise, I'll keep nipping into stores and gazing at it wistfully until the assistants scare me away!
