I thought I'd do a quick post to show you how I usually do my make-up if I'm going anywhere (in this case going a barbecue party that then took place indoors thanks to the rain - typical Northern European summer...)
Eyes - As you can see it's nothing special, I just use a teeny bit of gold eyeshadow (today it was UD Half Baked), then I do the flicks with Bourjois Liner Feutre and use Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Bourbon along the upper lashline as I find it looks less harsh than using liquid liner all the way along. As usual I finished it off with Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara!
Face - I used Revlon Colorstay in Natural Beige as a concealer under the eyes and on any blemishes, then Collection 2000 Perfecting Minerals foundation all over my face for an even finish! I also use a little Bourjois blusher in Rose Coup de Foudre to add some colour, then sometimes a little Vaseline lipbalm to stop my lips drying out, and voila!
If I don't mess up the liner or mascara in any way (which is a rarity...I'm clumsy, what can I say?) then I can do this look reasonably quickly, and in my opinion it doesn't look too 'overdone' for daytime! If I'm going out at night then I'll add more eyeliner or try a different eyeshadow look, I'm not terribly adventurous at the moment but the whole purpose of this blog is to try and experiment a little!
xoxo

you are stunning!
ReplyDeletetoday i am having a skin crisis so am in awe of your flawless looking skin- gorgeous!
Aw thank you so much :) although I must confess my skin isn't flawless at all - it's either clever make-up, or flattering lighting, or in this case a mixture of both! Never does a day go by without some kind of spot sprouting up on my forehead or cheek or chin...I thought being in my twenties meant I got to grow out of my teenage skin...guess not! I dream of one day being able to go without foundation, isn't it sad that that's on my list of things to achieve? xx
